Brean Down Fort
Near Weston-Super-Mare Taken By Dave Bellamy
Brean Down Fort
This is a mounting point for one of the ex-Royal Naval guns used in the fort during World War 2. These guns had a range of over twice the width of the Bristol Channel at this point, so would have been capable of shelling the northern suburbs of Cardiff.
