Stover Canal
Near Teigngrace Taken By Dave Bellamy
Stover Canal
This is the graving lock on the disused Stover Canal. I can't quite work out what it was for, but I'm assuming barges would have been floated in, and then it would have been separated from the canal somehow. As it's between the two lock gates, the water level here would have been rising and falling frequently which would be inconvenient if you were working on a barge.
